New Creation

New Creation
This was the first panel stitched for the exhibition ‘Threads through Revelation’. It didn’t get into the final exhibition because Jacqui decided she wanted the last panel to be larger than the preceding 13 panels - to end on an impressive scale. So now this large panel (with black edging just over 2m in width and 2.6m in height) is now for sale and would work well in a large room - in a home, church or public space.

The cotton background is wadded and hand painted - then layered with silks which are cut into to reveal the colours of the silks and dyes underneath - figurative elements are appliqued on and then leather details are hand-stitched on top. The scene depicted is based on the last chapter of Revelation and shows the tree bearing ‘all year round’ fruit and the leaves for the healing of the nations; the river of life full of those who have chosen to enter into the city and at the very top the City of God with the Lamb on the throne.

If you are interested please do contact Jacqui with any queries.
